By Vanessa Acosta of Paragon Desert

Fashion Designer and Photographer Vanessa Acosta, also known as "From a Bolivian," has garnered attention for her colorful handmade label Paragon Desert as well as her photography work; showcasing the beauty of racial and body diversity while showing a sense of appreciation for her roots, family, and ancestors. The name and handle, "From a Bolivian"  has also garnered attention:

"Quite frankly, there aren't that many Bolivian-Americans out there! The pool is small when it comes to our little Bolivian community here in the United States. We asked Vanessa to share her thoughts with us on her recent trip to South America, Paragon Desert, and how her cultural identity as a Bolivian-American intersects with her work.
